About Afton Pub & Pizza

Afton Pub & Pizza is a local family-owned restaurant with New York Italian inspired cuisine. We thrive on feeding our friends and neighbors large, delicious portions in a fun atmosphere with great service - we can't wait to make you part of the family!

Located at 5380 Village Dr NW, Concord, NC 28027, Afton Pub & Pizza operates as a pizza restaurant serving Concord in North Carolina. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it. Google also lists it under pub, restaurant, which is worth knowing if you are comparing several options in the area.

Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.

The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 am–11 pm. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. You can reach Afton Pub & Pizza at (704) 782-3866; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. Its website is aftonpubandpizza.com, where you may find menus, price lists or booking options.

Customers rate it 4.3 out of 5 on Google across 1,195 reviews, placing it among the better-regarded pizza restaurants in Concord.

Concord is in North Carolina, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Concord follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

The Hostess was super sweet to us. The serving staff were kind and the food was excellent. For a $14 calzone, I was satisfied with the size. This was a great place to meet for a work lunch, and the food came promptly. As well, we ordered the fried calamari and it was not overly greasy, which is always a huge plus. Check this place out!

Me and my family used to love this place. Until we went there this week and they wouldn’t allow us to bring outside food. Since having our daughter and she was a baby she cannot eat certain foods. And she will not eat pizza or anything they serve. So our family wants to enjoy a pizza and appetizers from this place while we let our daughter eat chicfila at the table so she has something to eat. Never been a problem until this week. A lady came up to us and said it’s against health code for us to have outside food. Like seriously?? We have done this since my daughter was born and she is now 5. And now it’s an issue?? So we explained our daughter doesn’t eat their food but we are going to eat a pizza. And they said we have to leave if we don’t throw away her food. This is disgusting. And her attitude was worse. What is the difference of a baby or toddler eating their specific food. And my daughter eating a meal from another restaurant while we enjoy their pizza??? I’d love to hear back from the owner as to how this is acceptable when we go out to eat many times a month and not one place has an issue with us bringing in food for our daughter. Why is this one different!???

So disappointed. Arrived a little after 6pm, 2 adults, 2 kids in our party. Was sooo hungry. This was my first time sitting down for a real meal after a busy work day. We asked to sit outside because it was SUPER cold inside. It was moderately busy. We were seated promptly and our order was taken. Lillie, our server was pleasant. We ordered kids spaghetti, kids pepperoni pizza, 10” pepperoni pizza and salad for my husband (same exact pizza as kids size), and I ordered soup with grilled chicken on the side. It took forever. We were still waiting for our food an hour later. It was literally starting to get dark and get cold outside. The patron beside us even commented about how long it was taking for any food to arrive at our table. She asked what we ordered. Lillie apologized for the wait several times as it got later and later. FINALLY, at 7:17pm, we started to get food, thankfully the kids’ arrived first. We asked for my husband’s pizza to be boxed to go. My husband asked for my soup and chicken to be boxed as well. My patience was out the window by this point. I had a headache because I really needed to eat. No way soup and 5 strips of chicken (overcooked and not grilled) should

Since I moved to Concord, NC I have been on a mission of trying all of the local restaurants in the area. This place is a cozy pub with a nice outdoor patio. I got the small meat lovers with onions. They really piled on the topping which is good. I’m not sure what style of pizza it is but it is delicious. I am tired of NY and Detroit style so this pizza was refreshing to me. Everyone is friendly. This is a nice and cozy restaurant.

This was our second trip to this pizza pub, and certainly won’t be our last. The fried mozzarella and signature red sauce were the perfect app. (Pro tip: add some garlic salt to the sauce) House Italian and Caesar salads were on point. Go for the extra dressing - so good. The meatball trio was amazing and loaded with melted cheese. BBQ pizza was good but their crust is so good that I would get a more Italian style pizza next time. Chicken was just okay to us. Little details matter…the tea was excellent. Not watered down like some places. This is also the second time that our server has been exceptional. She was personable, helpful and so quick! Would def recommend!
